Job Description and Responsibilities:

• A Technical Specialist who will provide Remote Pre-Sales Technical Support on Tivoli products to the IBM sales force, entitled Business Partners and internal IBM teams. Support is provided primarily via email.
• Pre-Sales Technical Support is here defined as, among other things, providing Product Support in the following areas:

- Capacity Sizing

- Designing initial solutions and providing value added recommendations

- Providing product technical information

- Providing competitive product positioning

- Performing list price configurations

- Providing RFP assistance in filling up the product compliance matrix

• The ideal candidate is one who already has the necessary skills and/or displays a willingness to acquire the necessary skills required for the role and is generally one who keeps abreast of technology developments in this rapidly changing and exciting area.
• A good working knowledge of other IBM products would also be advantageous. The successful candidate must demonstrate good communication and writing skills as well as having solid technical knowledge.

Desired experience:

• 1 - 2 years of recent working experience in Websphere products in a Pre-Sales or Post-Sales environment.

Language Requirements

• A good command of the English language in both written and oral perspectives.

Technical Skills requirements:

• Good integration and application infrastructure software skills - preferably WebSphere, other IBM software skills
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Unix/Linux Operating Systems
