Position: Senior Java Designer
Team Function and responsibilities:
The role will involve requirement analysis and system development on WAS, Oracel10G, Core Java, Oracle Business Objects. The candidate will work as part of a team with responsibility for design, development, test and maintenance of systems. As well as producing well structured, high quality and maintainable code, the person will produce Unit Tests, specifications and documentation, and will QA code that peers have written.
Role specific responsibilities:
1) Create HLD/functional design from Business Requirements
2) Create LDL (TSD) from HLD
3) Come up with Application / component level design from high level technical design / business requirements.
4) Coding and unit testing of software components
5) Get involved in peer review of deliverables of self and other team members
Deliverables: (Criteria/results by which success can be measured)
- Unit tested software compliant of functional and non-functional requirements
- Design documents as needed
Educational Qualification:
- College degree (B Tech / MCA)
- Development / Application Support Experience 4+ years
Technical knowledge:
- 4 year experience or Java / J2EE development
- 3 experience creating designs based on business requirements
- 3 full project lifecycles
- Demonstrated experience in following technologies
- WAS 4.0 or higher
- Core Java
- HP UX or Linux
- Oracle 10G
- PL/SQL development on Oracle
- Servlets and JSP
- Demonstrated experience in following related technologies
- OBI
- MQ
Behavioural attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Business objects web intelligence
- WSAD or RAD
- SQL Navigator or TOAD
- Clear Case
- Python
- AS400 experience or exposure would be useful
