Position 1: Software Engineer
Location: Chennai
Experience: 6+ years (Relevant)
Qualifications: Typically requires BE or equivalent
Mandatory Skills: Core Java
Domain: NMS
Desirable Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of as many of the following technologies:
- J2EE
- EJB
- Web Services / SOAP
- Client-side concepts: Swing, JSP
- XML
- Server-side concepts: Transaction, Multithreading, Sockets, Relational Database, SQL, JDBC
- Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, Telnet, SSH, SNMP, HTTP
- Scripting languages: TCL, Perl
- JUnit, Ant
- Prior experience with sustaining/development NMS products
- Working knowledge of Networking and related technologies such as Ethernet, Wireless, etc.
Position 2: SQA Engineer
Location: ChennaiExperience: 6+ years (Relevant)
Qualifications: BE or equivalent
Job Description:
- Define test strategy; write test plans and test cases for all EMS/NMS components.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to facilitate in testing client/server applications as well as regression tests.
- Implement, maintain automated tests that provide feature and performance / scalability Participate in defect review meetings and work with development engineers to identify, isolate and resolve defects.
- Document test progress & reports.
- Design and configure the test bed
Major skills required:
- 4 years or more of EMS/NMS test experience.
- Solid understanding of FCAPS functionality
- Experience in data/telecom networking field
- Effective communication skills, flexibility, a strong teamwork approach
Desirable skills:
- Experience in working with SNMP, Java, WebUI and CLI.
- Hands-on development skills with automated GUI test tools such as SilkTest or WinRunner
Good to have skills:
- Experience in script language such as Tcl, or Perl
