- We're looking for someone logical with deep UI expertise, who appreciates New Media design, who can take seemingly contradictory user feedback and pinpoint the real issue, and who asks enough questions to understand strategic objectives.
- In this capacity, you will work closely with engineers, and product managers in a collaborative team environment.

- In this role, your responsibilities will include: Designing complex web application interactions
- Conducting informal and formal usability testing
- Promoting consistency across Bigflicks' products
- Documenting design decisions and interaction guidelines
- Driving mockups, sitemaps, and page flows
- Keeping up-to-date with similar user interfaces and products
- Working with a diverse team to cultivate ideas and positively influence design direction
- Proactively suggest improvements for Bigflicks' existing and future products
- Serving as an advocate for the end-user
- To be most effective, you will Have expert level knowledge of CSS, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, DOM methods and properties, AJAX in a cross-browser environment
- Be fluent at Photoshop, Illustrator for prototyping and concept visualization
- Have a keen eye for typography, layout, and user interaction. (Even after you've stared at an interface for hours, you can still spot inconsistencies and potential improvements.)
- Promote a clean, intuitive experience that BigFlicks' users will be excited to use and share with friends and family
- Have the communication and team skills to facilitate logical design discussions within BigFlicks' engineering, design, and business teams
- Have a background in Human-Computer Interaction or comparable degree/experience.
- Experience with creating database driven Websites is a huge plus.
- You are well-versed in code optimization and hav! e a high degree of skill with UI design and development.
- Exercise innovation in support of UI design and heuristics through your expertise to enhance the overall user experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in web development
- Expert level knowledge of CSS, HTML/ETHEL, JavaScript in a cross-browser environment (in your sleep)
- A working knowledge of AJAX, J2EE, .Net (basic understanding of database-driven app design)
- Fluency with Photoshop
- Familiarity with Information Architecture and User Interface Design principles
- Understanding of SEO techniques
- Experience with creating database driven Websites is a huge plus.
- You are well-versed in code optimization and have a high degree of skill with UI design and development.
- Exercise innovation in support of UI design and heuristics through your expertise to enhance the overall user experience.
- However, we're more impressed by passion rather than degree titles, or years of experience.
Experience: 3 - 7 years
