Position: Drupal Developer

Essential requirements:

The position requires exceptional programming skills, problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic. Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking a web application projects from the development phase to the final product or in some cases for creating or customizing Drupal modules to integrate with other applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with a team (designers, project manager, and other developers) to create compelling and cutting edge web sites and web applications.
• Responsible for turning design and user interface mockups into functional web sites.
• Custom programming and web application development.
• Testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing client sites.
• General assistance as required

Qualifications:

• Independence, willingness to learn and problem solving skills are a must
• At least 2+ years of related work experience in Drupal and 1+ in other frameworks
• Expertise in Dynamic/Database Driven Development (PHP/MySQL) with sound JavaScript, especially AJAX experience
• Experience in working in Linux environments is a must
• Must be able to handle a face paced work environment, deadlines, and new challenges
• Ability to communicate and work well with others
• Experience providing technical support for Open Source applications preferred
• Strong consideration given candidates in the Bangalore & Chennai area
• University degree in computer science, mathematics, or other related technical field is required

Technical skills:

• Significant experience with Drupal API, themes and assets
• Proficient with hand-coding HTML and table-less CSS
• Advanced knowledge and implementation of W3C Web Standards
• Familiar with Zend Framework, preferably Zend certification
• Must have involved in at least one enterprise project involving high-volume access and/or data
• Administration and troubleshooting experience in commercial Unix and Windows server environments strongly preferred
