Position: Business Analyst -Mortgage
Location: Chennai
Job description:
- Work with business partners to identify the business requirements, understand how each requirement supports the business benefits and document them at a high level in use cases, models or other media as appropriate
- Liaise with Business Change teams, the Project Owner, end users, Business Specialists and related project teams in the UK and elsewhere to fully understand the business requirements
- Deliver the analysis inputs to the level of detail needed to create a project estimate and plan
- Taking on end to end functional ownership of projects and/or modules
- Extensive communication on a business and technical level will be required to internal stakeholders
- Liaison between the technical team and business users to help define clear requirements
- Supporting project managers in identifying and developing new business requirements and in the identification and prioritisation of key deliverables
- Maintaining an active relationship with the Business to ascertain precise project development requirements
- Play the key role of continual offshore representation of end users and thus provide business context to the development teams
- The remit also covers working with users to define the testing strategy, including detailed test cases, test plans and exit / entry criteria
- Also plays a key role in creating the knowledge gathering and sharing function across IDC (across projects).
Experience Details:
- Total experience of 6-10 years
- Detailed knowledge and practical experience of business analysis of at least 5+ years
- An expert individual who has vast knowledge of requirement analysis on Mortgages Platform
- A vast experience of rapidly driving out quality analysis using Industry best practices
- Should have worked in geographically distributed team
- Good understanding of Banking and Financial services within relevant jurisdiction - in particular credit risk
- Competence in industry standard methods and frameworks, ideally RUP
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
- Pragmatism - Able to physically attend all workshops in person, at very short notice
- Able to escalate issues clearly and rapidly at the earliest opportunity to lead solution designer and possibly senior management level
- Add value from experience of similar analysis in other organisations or areas
- Pro-active, open and honest attitude in workshops
- Able to quickly earn the respect and attention of stakeholders
- Able to produce all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
