Skill Details:
- This Information Architect opportunity is a chance to play a key role in designing and developing a global enterprise architecture.
- Candidates must have advanced knowledge of business workflows and in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
- Experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence is required.
- This IA will be responsible for taxonomy and creating individual sites within SharePoint.
Key Responsibilities/Experience:
- Collaborate with business units to evaluate the best architecture for web pages, lists, documents, and data
- Work with software development, engineering, and other teams to determine best solutions for site content, data types, search keywords, and other concepts
- Survey existing intranet structure, and survey user requirements and business requirements
- Define taxonomy for a global enterprise architecture
- Define and garner agreement on new intranet sitemap
- Work with design team to insure proper execution of interaction design
- Recommend new technologies and practices implementing Microsoft SharePoint and MOSS
- Research and recommend emerging design methods and technologies
Key Skills:
- 4 + years of experience with Information Architecture
- 3 + years of experience with SharePoint/MOSS, with at least one major implementation
- Extraordinary interpersonal skills, including facilitation, teamwork, and mentoring
- Extraordinary planning and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work within tight deadlines across business units
- Degree in IA, MIS, or CS preferred
