Urgent job opening for Presales - Sr. Executive / AM / DM with Vodafone in Mumbai

Position: Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Presales (3 positions)

Key Activities / Decision Areas:

  • Working with the Global Account Manager, present and sell complex voice and data mobile solutions to Vodafone Global Enterprise Customers
    • Assist Global Account Managers in identifying and scoping of sales leads for complex voice and data solutions
    • Run customer-facing presentations on Vodafone's products and Services.
    • Initiate with Customer Project Managers and Technical resources
    • Lead discussions with Global Enterprise customers on technical solution design
    • Assist the Global Account Manager in assessing cost requirements to assist to price setting
    • Define trial programs in agreement with the Global Account Manager and the Global Enterprise Customer
    • Win Global Enterprise Customer confidence in personal abilities and support the Global Account Manager in gaining Global Enterprise Customer agreement to proceed with Vodafone's proposals
  • Ensure that the proposed mobile solutions fit with the Global Enterprise Customer's technical requirements
    • Document Global Enterprise customer requirements in standardised format and perform GAP analysis as compared to Vodafone's standard products & services offer / capability
    • Evaluate and document the Global Enterprise Customer's technical infrastructure with which Vodafone's mobile solutions will be integrated.
    • Engage with Vodafone's internal departments (Customer Solutions, Regional Heads, Technical Specialists, Service Fulfilment Team) to confirm that the proposed solution can be supported.
    • Engage with Service Fulfilment Team to build the customer support model and present it in a standardised format, following international quality guidelines (e.g. ITIL methodology). Agree critical success criteria to assure delivery of support infrastructure during trials and/or operational phase.
    • Define solution training requirements, build and lead Customer Train the Trainer programs
    • Establish an appropriate review and reporting governance structure designed to track Global Enterprise customer requirements.
    • Assess the satisfaction of Global Enterprise Customers, colleagues, OpCos and Partner Managers with regard to the Solution Design approach, capturing lessons learned and sharing these with the Pre Sales and Technical Support Teams to drive improvements in our approach to technical Pre Sales and Solution Design
    • Work with the Programme Manager to agree handover of design for implementation by the Service Fulfilment team.

Technical / Professional Expertise:

  • Educated to BSc or MSc or an IT/EE
  • In-depth knowledge of data communication technologies [including SMS, MMS, WAP, GSM, GRPS, 3G, IP] and/or of voice communication technologies [including IN, Voicemail, GSM, SS7, IP, Wireless Office, VPN]
  • Entensive experience in telecoms/IT design with proven technical co-ordination
  • International experience with well developed cultural sensitivity â€" preferably having lived and worked abroad 5+ years.
  • At least 5 years of Technical Sales experience
  • Deep knowledge of mobile voice and data solutions
  • Excellent Customer relationship management skills with ability to interact at Director level
  • Strong commercial management skills including contractual and commercial negotiation experience
  • Experience in complex change management in a technological context
  • Ability to lead in high-growth, high-uncertainty environments
  • Ability to manage an international and distributed virtual team
  • Team player, strong influence and relationship management skills
  • A self-starter with a determination to succeed, balanced with appropriate tact and diplomacy
  • Multi-lingual skills advantageous
  • Strong communication and decision making skills â€" ability to balance conflicting interests
