Role: VBA Application Programmer / Analyst

Qualifications: BE, B Tech, MCA or M Sc (IT)

Job Location: Bangalore

Experience: 3+ years

Responsibilities:

1. Support and troubleshoot existing deployed applications, developing usage guidelines for customers and installation & troubleshooting guidelines.
2. Maintain and improve the existing code, with drive towards improving reliability and usability.
3. Develop new features and capabilities, working with key users to define business requirements and design software functionality.

• Expert Excel VBA application programming skills, including working knowledge of Excel, Visual Basic, Excel & Office object models, implementing Excel Add-ins and DLL"s, Win 32 API, and automation in the Windows environment.
• Aptitude for managing his or her own work and coordinating it with others -- organizing & prioritizing, meeting deadlines & objectives, communicating with stakeholders, improving procedures & documentation.
• Good to have knowledge of database applications (SQL, Oracle, etc.), development suites (Visual Studio/.NET 2003/2005), API"s (ODBC, OPC, RDMS, etc).
• Experience of using Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to independently work up solutions.
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in small programming team, with responsibility for a variety of tasks, from user support to in-depth programming.
