Position: Business Analyst (IT Simplification Practice)

In support of IT Simplification Assessments, responsible for:
- Collection and analysis of customer-provided financial data and documentation
- Analysis of device inventory data collected via automated discovery tools
- Execution of project wrap-up activities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Business Analyst is responsible for assisting the IT Simplification Practice Executive and Lead Consultant with successful execution of IT Simplification Assessment engagements. Specific activities include:
- Serve as the IT Simplification Assessment project lead for all Activity Based Costing (ABC) activities
- Conduct an orientation of the ABC Survey template with identified customers and their respective sales leads
- Establish and/or expand customer relationships by communicating effectively, and providing sound guidance as it relates to the IT Simplification Assessment
- Meet or exceed all stated projects timelines and budgets
- Prepare and distribute Excel ABC Survey Input Template to the customer and key stakeholders
- Ensure security of completed ABC Surveys by posting all collected information to the appropriate repository
- Review all completed ABC surveys to identify missing or incorrect/unusual data
- Provide ongoing communication to the project team on progress, current status and any variances or roadblocks with timely completion of the ABC Survey activity
- Compile and verify accuracy and formatting of the At-a-Glance tool to include merging ABC Survey data into the tool
- Identify industry and benchmarks that may prove relevant to the ITS Assessment evolution
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis/charts/tables as requested by ITS Practice Executives or Lead Consultants
- Use infrastructure delivery knowledge to provide analytical support for customer engagements
- Provide cross-functional support across all Service Practice areas
- Deliver timely and succinct responses from individual assessment interviews as requested by the Practice Executive and Lead Consultant
- Provide assistance in developing project documentation, including cost models, findings, recommendations, work plans and other key deliverables as requested
- Attend and participate in regular project review meetings with the ITS team
- Identify opportunities to expand/enhance the Practice methodologies and IP through research of industry best practices and data sources
Experience:
- Five plus years of experience performing similar BA roles for mid to large IT infrastructures
- Experience supporting projects remotely (e.g. has demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and with minimal supervision)
- Shows a general knowledge of IT infrastructure organizations and processes
- Exemplary professional business attitude and awareness.
- Demonstrates skilled use of Microsoft Office presentation, analysis and reporting tools, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel (see below)
- Possesses extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, to include use of pivot tables and charts
- Experienced analysis of IT budgets
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent business/financial experience
