Job Description for Web 2.0 Analyst:
- Around 3 years experience in XML, XSD, Web Services, REST and Portal technologies (J2EE or Dot Net).
- Experienced in developing Portals or Collaborative or Knowledge Management sites using any of OpenText, Documentum, Hummingbird, Vignette, Weblogic, WebSphere, MOSS or Open Source platforms.
- Aware of usability aspects of web applications like Personalisation, Ease of use, DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) Compliance and others
- Aware of Web 2.0 concepts like Social networking sites, Wiki, Blogs, RSS feeds and mashups
- Is keen observer of new developments in Internet space like emergence of new Web 2.0 sites ( Facebook, flicker, YouTube etc)
- Possesses good analytical and problem solving skills
- Aware of Requirements capturing techniques like interviewing, brainstorming and researching
- Has exposure to Use Cases for documenting requirements.
- Good requirements analysis skills, including the identification of gaps and ambiguities
- Has experience in capturing requirements for at least 2 web based projects.
- Well versed in writing Use Cases for eliciting requirements.
- Has fair understanding of Requirements capturing techniques like interviewing, brainstorming and researching
- Close interaction with the customer to clarify requirements, provide updates etc.
- Understanding of Web 2.0 concepts like Social networking sites, Wiki, Blogs, RSS feeds and mashups is desirable
- Is Aware of usability aspects of web applications like Personalisation, Ease of use, DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) Compliance and others
- Is keen observer of new developments in Internet space like emergence of new Web 2.0 sites ( Facebook, flicker, YouTube etc)
- Exposure to content delivery network concept is desirable
- Experienced in designing/developing Portals or Collaborative or Knowledge Management sites using any of OpenText, Documentum, Hummingbird, Vignette, Weblogic, WebSphere, MOSS or Open Source platforms.
- Minimum 3 years experience in XML, XSD, WSDL, Web Services, REST, AJAX, Java Script and Portal technologies (J2EE or Dot Net).
- Possesses good analytical and problem solving skills
- Some experience working on media related products would be beneficial, but not essential
